August 19, 2026Beyond the Bone: Osteoporosis, MRONJ, and Dental Treatment PlanningSpeaker: Christine Jablonski, MD, CCD Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST About This CourseOsteoporosis is a common disease associated with increased fracture risk, morbidity, mortality, and healthcare burden, yet it remains significantly underdiagnosed and undertreated. This lecture will review osteoporosis therapies and their clinical implications for dental practice, with an emphasis on medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw. Participants will review the current understanding of MRONJ, including diagnostic criteria, staging, risk factors, and clinical management strategies for patients undergoing dental procedures. Emphasis will be placed on evidence-based treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration to support fracture prevention and safe dental care.
